Simagic M10: Force Feedback Fix and How To Update Your M10 in 2024

Simagic, a prominent player in the sim racing hardware market, recently shocked its user base by discontinuing support for the Simagic M10 wheelbase.

However, fear not, as The Sim Consultants have unearthed a solution to breathe new life into your M10 and keep it up to date.

How to bring your Simagic to the latest (and last) supported firmware version:

The sim racing community is a treasure trove of knowledge and solutions. Many dedicated enthusiasts have come together to create unofficial resources, forums, and guides. By tapping into this wealth of information, The Sim Consultants have identified the corect firmware updates, software tweaks, and compatibility workarounds that can keep your M10 up to date and functioning optimally.

Step 1: SImagic Software

  • Navigate to the Simagic 'Download Center' - https://en.simagic.com/download
  • Scroll down to the 'Previous Versions' section.
  • Download 'SimProManager1.3.2' from the logo on the right.

 

Download and install this software
**
DO NOT UPDATE THE FIRMWARE FROM THE SIM PRO MANAGER SOFTWARE

Step 2: Firmware Version

  • Here is where things get a little tricky so stick with these instructions meticulously!
  • Download the Wheelbase Offline Updater: Click here!
  • Extract the updater.
  • Open the 'Wheelbase - Offline Updater' folder.
  • Click the 'updater offline.exe' and run.

**UNPLUG ANY OTHER USB DEVICES EXCEPT YOUR MOUSE, KEYBOARD AND M10 WHEELBASE

  • Click 'Browse'
  • Go to the 'Firmware' folder.
  • Choose the '4159.bin' file.
  • Click 'Download' and allow this to complete.

Step 3: Checking for input in Sim Pro Manager

  • Open Sim Pro Manager and see if you have input.
  • Boot into your game of choice and see if you have force feedback in-game

Force Feedback Fix for M10

I was with a customer recently and I had tried the above and had input showing but had no force feedback

To fix it, this requires you to download and run a Windows registry file.

  • Once downloaded, double click the file and install to the Windows registry
  • You should now have your force feedback working!
